Eclectic Music Concerts:

General Information and Informal Guidelines

Thank you to the Artists Participating in these events,

Event(s) date:

Time: Setup starts at 6:00 pm
Doors open at 7:30 pm

First Band 8pm
Second at 9pm
Third at 10pm (times are approximate)

Please note:
Order of Appearance is flexible at this time. If you have a particular preference as to when you would like to perform due to the length or nature of the performance, please contact us at least a week before the event and we will gladly arrange the schedule to facilitate your request with respect to the other performers.

Because OCCCA is an artist co-op space it is important that all events taking place there be carried out with respect to the artists that make up the co-op. This pertains to the artwork on display as well as the space itself.

In order for all participants to be prepared the following is a list of general provisions available at the space as well as some (hopefully) helpful suggestions as to what will not be there.

What we do have:

  • PA system, self powered speakers, mixer, 3 mics
  • Standard electric outlets located throughout the main gallery space, which will make up the performance and audience seating area.
  • Folding tables are kept at the gallery, Product and/or information tables are welcome.
  • A small kitchen is available. OCCCA does not have a permit to sell alcohol although drinks will be available with a donation suggestion attached.
  • Digital projector with DVD and VHS hookup are available for use. Please let us know before the day of the event if we need to provide these.
  • Bathrooms (hooray!)

We unfortunately (or fortunately, depending)
do not have(a):

  • Raised stage area
  • An area entirely free of breakable artwork
  • Flashy moving lights
  • Permission from the city to make as much noise as we want
  • All artists/performers are asked to provide all the electrical and musical equipment needed to perform (i.e. power strips, amps, etc.)
  • Carpet for drum kits

Promotional Materials:

Artists are invited and encouraged to promote the event through individual websites, myspace, etc. The Eclectic Company takes particular joy in designing posters and pamphlets for each event, which are readily available to be posted by any and all participants:

Press releases are sent out by the Eclectic Company to all local publications before each event. Any other suggestions as to how we can get the word out are
greatly appreciated.

A Small Note In Closing:

Thank you again for your participation. Hopefully we have addressed as many possible questions and concerns you may have. If this is not the case, of course, feel free to contact us.

Please spread the word, and help promote your show, its hard to get people to go out, even to free events!
